WWE:- CHARCOAL vs ACTIVATED CHARCOAL
We often think that charcoal is just charcoal, but there's a difference between charcoal and activated charcoal.
Activated charcoal is much more porous than charcoal. Because of its larger surface area, activated charcoal's ability to filter out more than charcoal can; is making it a recommended choice in many more applications.
Charcoal
Charcoal is commonly used in the home. It's used for creating works of art, and for cooking. Most of us are familiar with charcoal, and have used it at some time.
Activated Charcoal
Activated charcoal, or activated carbon, has oxygen added to it to increase its porosity and remove the harmful aspect of carbon. This is done through a special industrial process. Increasing its ability to remove chemicals, toxins, and gases. Activated charcoal is used in water purification systems to remove toxins and in many other applications from air filtration to medical applications.
